This service factory resets (virginises) your BSI so it can be programmed again to a vehicle. Once reset, the BSI will require programming back to the car — preferably using Diagbox online (or equivalent dealer-level online programming).

What is a Delphi BSI Virgin Service?

The BSI (Built-in Systems Interface) is the central body control module that stores vehicle identity and configuration data. On newer PSA vehicles, Delphi BSI EI4, EI5, EL3, EL4, EL5, FI5 and FL5 units may need to be virginised (factory reset) when replacing modules, correcting configuration issues, or preparing a used BSI for reprogramming.

Our Delphi BSI Virgin Service resets your unit back to a state where it can be programmed to a vehicle again. The BSI is returned ready for online programming, ideally using Diagbox online to write the correct vehicle configuration.

1) Customer-Supplied BSI Virginisation (Factory Reset)

Send us your Delphi BSI (EI4/EI5/EL3/EL4/EL5/FI5/FL5) and we will virginise it. You will receive your reset BSI back ready for programming to your car.

Turnaround: 24–48 hours after receipt.

2) Supply of Virginised BSI (Please choose your part number from the drop-down)

We can also supply a virginised Delphi BSI ready for programming. if your part number isn’t listed, please contact us with your BSI part number so we can confirm the availability of a compatible unit

How to Order (Factory Reset Service)

  1. Remove your Delphi BSI (EI4/EI5/EL3/EL4/EL5/FI5/FL5) from the vehicle if it’s installed already.
  2. Package it securely and include your contact details and a note saying: “Delphi BSI Virgin Service”.
  3. Send it to:

  4. We factory reset the BSI and return it within 24–48 hours of receipt.
  5. Program the BSI back to the car using Diagbox online (recommended) or equivalent dealer-level online tools.

Which BSI types does this service cover?

This service covers Delphi BSI EI4, EI5, EL3, EL4, EL5, FI5 and FL5 used in newer Peugeot and Citroën vehicles, and some Vauxhall models that share PSA platforms.

What does “Virginising” a BSI mean?

Virginising means returning the BSI to a factory-reset state so it can be programmed again to a vehicle.

Will the reset BSI be plug-and-play?

No. A virginised (factory reset) BSI must be programmed back to the vehicle. We recommend Diagbox online or equivalent online dealer-level programming.

How long does the service take?

Turnaround is typically 24–48 hours after we receive your BSI.

Can you supply a virginised Delphi BSI?

Yes. We can supply a virginised Delphi BSI ready for programming. Please select your BSI part number from the drop down & add it your basket.

Do you need the vehicle or only the BSI module?

For the factory reset service we only require the BSI module. Diagbox online programming will be needed to configure the BSI and reprogram the keys afterwards.
